I'm starting to get concerned as I've seen a similar pattern over and over and over again lately.

I get a pushing pressure on the left side of my stomach right under the first rib bone. This happens and often times I feel like I want to go down like a lead balloon. I get weak, unsteadiness feeling, and ity hurts a lot to press on it.

It happened again today when out with my family. I was doing fine all day and boom at the grocery store it all broke loose. I went from good to bad in a second's notice!

What in the world is going on?

I've had normal upper GI (no erosion / no celiac), ultrasound of sbdomen, chest MRI, regular echo, transesophagal echo, nuclear stress test, 24-hour holter, etc. I had an exercise stress test scheduled, but I can't imagine how I can make it through it in the condition I'm in. I'd probably collapse.

Have I effective ruled out heart issues? This worries me so much. I swear these are not panic attacks. I'm always quite sore when I press near the center of my chest under the first rib bone.

The only dignostic test I've never done is a lower GI. I had a test from Diagnos-Techs that showed severe colon inflammation and a bit of blood in the Fecal Occult test. He didn't seem much concerned (holistic doc).

The abnormal test was an alpha anti-chymotrypsin stool test. Chronic inflammation was >180. My result was 461.

The tests also shoed equivolcal for amoeba histolytica and roundworm and positive for tapeworm. I'm taking Humaworm now for 20+ days. I think these alternative docs just like running tests but at times they don't believe in what they do. If so, they would've prescribed more than an herbal supplement (Wormwood). Serious docs who felt it was a true issue would Rx parasite meds.

I've been dairy/gluten-free since Aug-08.

Is somebody missing something important or should I just start popping benzos? I'm so sick of this crap. The antibiotics are jusr going to cause more issues no doubt.

Hubby has never used the humaworm, but I do know that Wormwood can be just as powerful as some of the parasite meds -- depends on the dose of course. Just because it is a herb doesn't mean it can't be very potent and effective.

Hubby also had the Diagnos-Techs test done. I feel that is a very reliable lab and a useful test.

Hubby has been treated for ascaris (roundworm) before -- used Nigerian herbs. Very effective.

You might try posting a new thread asking about Tapeworm -- think those are very difficult to kill. Connie Mc in NC posted on this before I think.

Try searching LymeNet under the term costochondritis -- that might be the reason for your pain when you press on your sternum.

Thanks KingNeptune. I look forward to your e-mail. Yeah, it seems to be happening more. I get very shaky, flushed, and tingle a little when eating. I just don't feel the ssme for 60-120 minutes. Strange. I tested my blood sugar and it's not going through the roof. Hmmm..

Even though I tested negative for mitochondrial / metabolic diseases, my symptyoms seem to circle around to this Dx most often. It's so strange.

i have that pain

pain ther can be spleen

i found this:

just googled enlarged sleen and found this:

An enlarged spleen affects each of these vital functions. For instance, as your spleen grows larger, it begins to filter normal red blood cells as well as abnormal ones, reducing the number of healthy cells in your bloodstream. It also traps too many platelets. Eventually, excess blood cells and platelets can clog your spleen, interfering with its normal functioning. An enlarged spleen may even outgrow its own blood supply, which can damage or destroy sections of the organ.

What causes it?

A number of infections and diseases can contribute to an enlarged spleen, including:

VIRAL INFECTIONS, such as mononucleosis

Bacterial infections, such as SYPHILIS or an infection of your heart's inner lining (endocarditis)

PARACITIC INFECTIONS, such as MALARIA

Cirrhosis and other diseases affecting the liver

Various types of hemolytic anemia -- a condition characterized by premature destruction of red blood cells

Blood cancers, such as leukemia and Hodgkin's disease

Metabolic disorders, such as Gaucher's disease and Niemann-Pick disease

Pressure on the veins in the spleen or liver or a blood clot in these veins

I CAPITALIZED THE THINGS THAT JUMPED OUT AT ME:

VIRUS: LOTS OF US LYMIES HAVE LOTS OF VIRUSES

SYMPHILIS: LIKE BORRELIA

PARACITES: LOTS OF US HAVE THEM

MALARIA: LIKE BABESIA

i'm scared cuz this has gotten worse for 3 years-no tests show anyting-my llmd says probably bart-treat with rifampin-i am using a lot of probiotics-

but today pain is real bad-hate to go to er when they never find anything...

I have had this type of pain, but on the upper right side around the liver and gall bladder area. It feels like all my organs are so swollen that they don't all fit in there anymore. That's the best way I can describe it.

I have had gall bladder test, 2 CT scans and nobody can find anything. I think it is inflammation caused by the LD. It has gotten better with Lyme treatment, but ocassionally it flares up. It can be extremely uncomfortable.

I think if you get into extreme pain then you should go to the ER just to make sure nothing too serious is going on. If it is just uncomfortable then its probably something to do with LD.

Good to hear you are gluten-free. That helps but, obviously, can be checked of the list of possibilities. In addition to what others said (spleen, pancreas . . . other parasites . . . ) -

This could be connected to excess porphyrins, as GI issues care classic symptoms. If so, benzos could make that much worse as they utilize the C P-450 pathway - and more toxins would be created.

You can read more about that here:
