OK, so I started colloidal silver one week ago, I even skipped a day and 2 days only took it once/day. Yesterday I had sore feet (usually only happens at the beginning of the month), today my calves/thighs are also sore. I slept 7.5 hours last night (daughter woke me up because she was hungry this morning, I probably could have slept for another couple hours).
I woke up feeling calm. I kept waiting for that feeling of my heart racing and the feeling of dread I usually get. It's been 5 hours since I got up and I still don't have it yet.
Coincidence?? I also had a fever Tuesday night and bad headache on Wed (haven't had one that bad in a while, I attributed it to our moving truck coming that day). Yesterday I was very tired, laid around the whole day (well, as much as I could with a 2 and 5 year old at home). I also got very cold around 4 pm yesterday and had to take a long, hot shower to warm up. My husband felt my cheeks to his cheeks and I was very cold. Today I'm not having that problem and It's cooler today.
Could it have been a herx? I actually feel like putting stuff away today (we've got boxes everywhere!). My swallowing has improved the past few days, last week I had to eat ice cream one day because it was so bad.
Oh, the brand I got was Soverign Silver, from the vitamin shoppe, I've heard mesosilver is also good?
I tried CS in May of this year and while the anxiety went way down, I started feeling depressed, so I quit.

Thanks Angelica, I was probably taking too much in May, taking it like 5 times/day. This time I took it 3 times/day on some of the days. Maybe I'll just stick to once/day for now.
What were your herx symptoms on it? The same as those on antibiotics??

Worse then on abx. I felt very very flu like and exhausted more than my usual lyme exhaustion.
Every muscle in my back hurt. It felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat. I do have a throat bug but I do think I had certainly had a herx from the silver as well.
I was doing one teaspoon 3 times a day and have since stopped.
It did help my itchy fungus skin more than anything else I have tried.
Celtic another poster here had die off from it as well.

Hi there,
I want to add my CS experience. My doctor prescribed it months ago. I was to start with 10 drops daily and progress until I was taking 10 drops 3x daily.
Well, I couldn't get there. 3 days of 10 drops daily set my wrists, hands and forearms on fire and the joint pain was horrific. I work at a computer for a living and thought I was going to have to file for disability the pain was that bad.
I suspected the silver and stopped and within 24 hrs pain was way down and 48 hrs later, no pain.
So, obviously the silver was working and as usual for me, I couldn't clear the die off fast enough. I was determined to stick with it at as slow a pace as I had to go. For a couple of months I would take 10 drops daily until joints began to ache and then I would stop. Once the joints settled down, I would start the drops again.
Finally, on Oct 23, I broke out in an all-over red rash. Really, it wasn't rashy looking. I was just beet red and it was itchy. A baking soda bath would help the itch but the redness remained for 3 days. Then I felt fabulous and just knew I had cleared something.
Now I am taking the silver every day. After one week, I got severe stiff neck pain. After 4 days the pain was unbearable and I tried to get in to a chiropractor, a D.O. and finally did get in to a massage therapist. D.O. appt was made for 3 days ahead but I was in really bad pain and needed fast relief.
The massage eased the neck pain but immediately afterward the sharpest pain ever started in my left wrist and ran a straight line down the middle of my hand into and all the way down my middle finger. Man it hurt. To touch the point of pain felt like touching a papercut. I rubbed the hand and the pain only lasted about 15 mins.
Several days later, red petichae (sp?) dots broke out on the tip of my left middle finger. Nowhere else. I have had these dots before and my LLMD said it is strep. So, my theory is: The silver killed strep and the die off settled into the muscles around my neck and shoulders. My throat was also mildly sore. The massage broke this loose and some settled into my hand. It cleared from the hand in 15 mins. I have continued taking the silver daily and several times was so tired and achy I had to spend the day resting in the bed but one week later (now) I am taking silver 10 drops twice daily and my stiff neck is nearly gone. I continue to enjoy no joint pain.
I intend to build up to the 3x daily the doctor wants. I am absolutely convinced the silver is working against strep and possibly my mycoplasma infection. Who knows what else.

Hey Luvs, Can you tell me what brand of colloidal silver you are using? I stopped using it and did use it once more and I did have an itchy rash on my stomach. I'm definitely going to include CS in my treatment regimen and am wondering what kind you use. I am planning to start treatment very soon as my daughter is almost weaned.

I use Silver Shield by Nature's Sunshine. It is 18ppm which my doctor approved.
My doctor uses Argenine 23. I think I have that right. I can't remember the ppms, but I already had some Silver Shield and she approved it.

One clinic that many people go to in Calif. recommends Argentyn 23 which is a Professional Silver Hydrosol by Natural-Immunogenics Corp. in Florida.
That is very interesting the theory about it hitting strep because my intuition tells me I have a continual strep problem. My right tonsil often hurts and I had many strep throats as a child.
So far due to my horrid herx I am afraid to try anymore CS but maybe I will get brave again in the future.

I am sure you are spelling Argentyn correctly and I misspelled it but we are talking about the same thing.
It is 23 ppm so probably more potent, but I am happy with the results of the Silver Shield. They just had a super sale on them which ran out yesterday but I was able to pick up 3 4 oz bottles for $38. That includes shipping. So, of course, I will keep using them for the time being.

That's funny... I tried several brands including the Argentyn 23 & I didn't feel much of anything.
Maybe it's hitting the co-infections? I don't think I have them judging by my symptoms & consulting with a LLMD.
You may want to be a little cautious about metal overload. Silver is a metal...
One person here was having alot of reactions from CS & then she had a burst appendix. Another person here had heavy metal exposure & also had appendix surgery. I don't know if the 2nd person was using CS. It just may be good to be alittle cautious about it.

I'm not trying to be a party-pooper, but has anyone seen any reputable studies done on CS and Lyme? I have not been able to find any. If someone can refer me to some, I'd appreciate it.

Colloidal silver is very powerful stuff and you need to make sure you are getting yours from a good manufac.
I know several that have achieved 100% health with colloidal silver

Sparkle,
The nano silver which is very small particles is not supposed to leave any metals in your body.
Since I have heavy metals toxicity, I wasn't interested in the stuff until my doctor recommended it.
I have read literature from a number of sources that say it will not leave traces of silver in your body.
Now, that is NANO silver. Homemade silver is a different beast and I have heard it can turn you blue.

Another source is Bio-Alternatives. I like their products.

luvs - I wasn't really worried about agryria (turning blue). I really thought that it was going to help me. I tried a few brands.... it didn't seem to do anything for me.
I read alot about it & I was looking forward to something... I bought a few bottles of one brand & it was kind of expensive. I think it's good if you get a cut & I used it on a gum irritation but it didn't make me feel any different when I was taking it internally.
I'm alittle concerned about taking anything in nano form. We don't have long term studies about how nano particles react in the body. I'm not majorily concerned about it but I do consider it in regards to health products.
It's just that many people are trying to detox metals from their body... If it does something, than it's great. For some reason it didn't do anything for me... I don't know why?

Some LLMDs think that it only hits yeast some think it hits more than yeast. I think after using it that it hits more than yeast.

CS is not very discriminating and will kill good and bad bacteria.
Probiotics should be used as with antibiotics, MMS etc.

When we bought our farm, we inherited a farm cat. The cat developed an infected tooth that was so bad it was oozing brownish drainage from the right eye.
I hated to spend $400 at the vet which is the estimate they had given me to extract the tooth. I had just started the Silver Shield myself and I started spraying two squirts on the cat's morning meal. Within 3 days, the oozing stopped. Within 1 week, the cat could again eat dry kibble (I had been soaking the kibble in water so the poor cat could eat it)
I kept giving him silver for about a month as I wanted to be sure the tooth infection would not return. That was this summer, and to date, he has never had another problem.

Just wondering has any used the ACS200 silver? My doctor recommended it and I was kind of concerned about the nano part. I have another doctor that does not recommend silver. This silver you spray in your mouth. Does it make any difference whether one sprays it or swallows the silver?

Recently I contracted a bronchial infection with a deep rattling cough and a barrage of green phlegm. I was on the verge of heading to the med clinic.
However, I had some mesosilver on hand and decided to fill an aspirator bottle (actually a used Melatonin spray bottle) and began spraying this down the throat many times a day in addition to deep inhalation of the stuff. web page
The infection disappeared within 1.5 days and now breathing normally once more.
Not certain if mesosilver is effective for Lyme other than perhaps in the GI tract but certainly worth a try for persistent bronchial infections that refuse to go away.

Frickla - The doctors I work with (Do you see a certain practice in MD that has 2 doctors, plus other staff??) uses ACS200 as well. I'm confident that the science behind it is safe - the nano particles are different than those in 80% of other colloidal silver products available. I've been using it for a few months now with no negative side effects. The nano particles increase the surface area of the silver, thus allowing more potency with a smaller dose and less chance of side effects.
What I'm not sure about is its effectiveness. I'm up to 10-12 sprays twice a day. I don't notice anything, more or less - but it can't hurt. There may have been a weak herx within the first week I started taking it, but I can't even pin that down for sure as different from a normal series of "worse days". I should note however, that I don't really herx identifiably on any therapy.
ACS200 is one of the few brands that I trust. Do your research before starting any experimental treatment - and NEVER try to make colloidal silver yourself at home. Ever.
Edit: Also, PLEASE for the sake of your animals do not test out any experimental therapies like MMS, colloidal silver, or anything else on them. We can consent to make ourselves test subjects, but they cannot make that conscious choice. Many of these treatments are unknown as to their effectiveness and safety on humans, much less animals. Most animal's maladies can be safely and easily treated by conventional veterinary medicine. I know it can be expensive at time (I have an old cat who gets $200 of blood work a month for thyroid functions). Pets are loving parts of the family - Don't subject them to potentially dangerous experiments. What might be fine, safe and helpful for us could be very dangerous to them.

Don't fret Blackstone. I checked it out before I used it. I communicate and order supplies from a natural vet in Tennessee and he has never done me wrong yet. www.thenaturalvet.net
