Hi ya'll,
I went to a lung specialist today because of my trouble with breathing.

He looked at my chest xrays and said my lungs are hyper-inflated. He said I think you have emphysema.

Actually, he is testing me for two types. One is hereditary, where you lack an enzyme, so you get a shot once a month to replace it.

The other would be emphysema that some people can get even though they rarely smoked.

So I had blood drawn and a ct scan.

I am just so critical of any diagnosis. Because I have been diagnosed wrong so many times before.

Obviously, I guess if the blood tests shows an enzyme is missing, then there is pretty much no denying that.

I'm sure you all know what I mean.

i did tell him I had Lyme, and I was curious about babesia.

He quickly dismissed that and said that was extremely rare, so he wouldn't test for that.

Just wondering if anyone else got this diagnosis.

Thanks!
