Hey hey...
Good question.
Sorry no direct answer.
There are many things that make a difference...
How long since you were bitten before treated?
Your weight
Your age
Your medical history
Coinfections
Other meds you are taking
Prevention or treatment
etc. etc...
If someone was just bitten.. MY personal theory is to hit it fast and hit it hard. Unless contraindicated, I'd go for the higher dose, if tolerated and age appropriate.
If you've been sick a while and may have a bad herx... I'd go low and increase as tolerated.
Many variables.. so no one answer fits all.
If you have a LLMD ordering that dose... I'd stick to it.
If it isn't a LLMD.. I'd ask them.
Ask about bacterialstatic vs. bacteriacydial.
I may have spelled those words wrong.. but what the hay.
Good luck.. and do note- I am NOT a doctor. This is my opinion only.
