For several months now, I've been dealing with tremors and vibrations in my head and spine. I started Doxy at 400 mg and the tremors were almost gone after a couple weeks. Unfortunately, they came back even while I was still on the Doxy.

I can't figure out why the tremors are strong at night and almost non-existent during the day. It's not that I don't notice them during the day...they just aren't there.

Last night I laid awake for several hours because my head was humming. I would really like to know why this happens at night time.

Could it be:
1. A circulation problem that is evident when I am completely at rest?

2. The spirochetes are active because my oxygen intake is lowest at rest?

3. The bacteria is more active in the dark?

4. Because I am lying down for a prolonged period of time?

I believe that I have the neuro version of Lyme. I don't have any other symptoms besides these tremors and vibrations. The only other sign I have is the red center corners of my eyes.

Has anyone had any luck with any treatment for this type of thing?

Thanks in advance for any response!

William

Amazing!! This is similar to something I was going to do a search on. I have pain now in the back of my head, in my ears and on the back-side of my neck when I lay down to go to sleep. It used to be just ringing, then buzzing, and now it's turned into pain.

Maybe all the dead critters, loose metals (loose change?) and so forth have pooled there.

I remember that Gigi shared this http://www.tuberose.com/meridians.html with me.

Look near the bottom of the page and you'll see a circle. Maybe it has something to do with how our Meridians and our bodies operate while resting.

I hope others can shed more light on this subject than I can. Grace

Hi again - I was going a search to learn more and ran across the following. There was much more to this thread, but now my computer and I are tired.

See if you can find a post dated 24 April 2004. Liz 28 did not sponsor the thread, but here is what she has shared... I am going to order this Coptis and give it a try. Grace
--------------------------------------------

Liz 28 - 24 April, 2004 - Yuck, sorry to hear you're having such a hassle with doxy. I had similar symptoms with minocycline, along with the mega-anxiety you might possibly be experiencing, and can't touch the stuff now.

I tend to blab about different herbs a lot, but if one could be considered the best (and cheapest) so far for neuro symptoms, it's Coptis.

Four days after I started taking the liquid extract, I had a localized herx in that exact spot you're talking about, right between your ears in the center of your head. It lasted a couple of days, and then subsided. My concentration improved a lot after that. It's not a magic bullet, of course, but it did seem to give a nice, immediate boost.

Coptis is a little difficult to find, though. The active ingredient, berberine, is also found in goldenseal, barberry, and Oregon grape, according to Google.

Same deal here. Once under the bed covers, the high frequency buzzing starts up in the legs and sometimes spreads up to the lower abdomen. During intense herxes, while on Biaxin, the entire body had the buzzing effect day and night.

I cannot offer any explanation for the buzzing sensation. Others that have posted here speculated that it may be due to Bart and/or Lyme.

I had the red center corner of eyes and the vibrations, was told it was bartonella. It has improved greatly with bart treatment.

My LLMD also said that bart was more active at night. That fits with your description.

Has anyone observed significant reductions in buzzing sensations once on a rizol called MY? It apparently works for Bart. See link below for some good info on rizols.
web page

This rizol, however, tastes awful and have not been seriously on this stuff. Possibly adding this rizol to a glass bottle with orange juice may help.
