How can anyone know what is acting up? Being treated for lyme, bart, hyponatremia (low salt), hormones, going through menopause? Many seem to know whats being treated, whats acting up and dormant. I don't know cycles, keep thorough
records, no pattern. Grounded for a little over a week then all back full force. Mostly mentally, not physical. When my physical is bad, my mental is better, when mental better, physical is bad.
Im so confused, don't know what's what except I'm just wrong from what I think. When I'm back to myself, not often usually hormones running a muck, angry at all but feel like Im present in
this world as me. When mind is bad, unreality, don't know even if its dp, starting to think schizo or bi-polar. Back on a strict food and fluid restriction routine a little off last week.
Anyone feel like they're winging it?
Felt like a few normal days last week, a little confidence and like heaven to make a plan that was made for Thanksgiving, and the last few days back in hell with a vengeance including
Thanksgiving. Trying to just get mind normalcy. Back on bacillin and orals today, got off yesterday cause stomach big time issues. Thanks God bless, pray for peace .

Hi Putnam,
It is hard to map what is what for me too.
I definitely know that my mental symptoms are from bartonella.
When I first started treating bartonella with rifampin and mino, I had a 10 day mental herx from he?*, and consequently have not returned to the pharmacy that I had a mental blow up at. Literally, I created quite the scene. If I hadn't left when I did, I would have been escorted out by security.
So that is how I know certain symptoms are from bartonella.
My bartonella symptoms don't cycle, they seem to be present on a daily basis.
My lyme symptoms herx really bad every 4 weeks when I get my period.
And the other coinfections...I have one unknown that cycles every 6 weeks, and another unknown that cycles every 6 days or so.
So I am in the same boat as you. Only know bart because of the "Pharmacy Fiasco".

Putnam-I am thinking of you and hope it does another 360 and you feel better soon.
I literally just started herxing from my infusion and have had the worst mood swing imaginable.
I am feeling very confrontational and angry towards a family member who has ignored me since my lyme dx.
I think I will be avoiding the phone and people until this passes, as I will say things that I may regret later. (Or not...dp is great for not regreting anything.)
Argh.

Good thoughts. I hope it passes soon Greta. There is no rhyme or reason. I just wish I knew so I can treat it right.

I think we all feel like we are winging it, including our LLMD's.
Keep trying as there is nothing more positive for us to do.
Good luck!
