6. Igenex IGM - 3 weak positives (34, 41, 66) Igenex IGG - weak positives at 18, 28, 58, 66, and 83-93...stronger positives at 34, 41, and 45.
I was really surprised to see the positive bands from Igenex after all the negative tests including CSF, urine, and PCR.
Has anyone else experienced this?
William

It sure looks like Lyme to me! I know what you're going through. I've been there. I just don't understanding the testing that well no matter how much I read. It's frustrating.
You've got a lot of bands showing up on your Igenix WB...hard to ignore!

You are seeing why LLMD's use IGeneX instead of the other testing. It is more reliable and gives a better picture of what you really have.
Are you seeing a LLMD? That would be my best advice.

If you research the elisa a/b and other lyme tests that are done through Mayo or some other hmo lab, your results will likely be unreliable. Testing through a better lab will yield better results. You are not alone in what has happened to you.
Mine... (1st thru 5th were thru HMO testing)
1st test Elisa A/B-(quest)-negative 2nd test Elisa A/B-(quest)-negative 3rd test PCR-(mayo)-negative 4th test WB-(mayo)-inconclusive..*band 41 positive. 5th test LP-(mayo)-negative..but elevated protein levels in csf. ..then I saw a LLMD... office diagnosis..classic lyme diagnosis, and.. his blood work.. 6th WB-(Igenex)-positive
So you see, you get what you pay for.

Lyme is a clinical diagnosis. That means that lab tests are inaccurate and unreliable.
For a clinical diagnosis the history, past + present symptoms etc. are used to make the diagnosis.
Blood tests are not relied on because lyme knows how to hide well.

My neighbor had a WB through Lab Corp.
Was CDC positive for both IgM and IgG.
Yet her PCR was negative.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm.

Igenex looks for more bands than other labs do.

I'm still learning about all this testing stuff, and still waiting to get into a LLMD. But my experience has been 2 negative Elisa tests, and if I'm reading the insurance right, a negative WB test. But I have all these off the wall symptoms that come and go, and no one can find a reason, except telling me I'm stressed, anxious, crazy, need a life.....

That is not unusual - WB is an indirect test, it measures the level of specific antibodies to the Lyme bacteria. PCR tests for the DNA of the bacteria directly.
Even in patients with physician confirmed EM and neuroborreliosis symptoms, PCR only shows up + in a small number of cases, 13% or so if my memory is not too far off (and it may be).
