That is an excellent review; I have been a strong proponent of Vit D. for several years, but the questions that come up are: Is there a change in the atmosphere that is inhibiting adequate UVB radiation reaching the earth's surface, and is that a part of the reason that high levels of supplementation are now being recommended? If that is the case, could it also be affecting the diseases carried by the insect world?
I find I do much better in wintertime on 3-5000 IU per day...contrary to what Cannell says, the fish derived D does the best for me.
