My wife mentioned a strange symptom. For most of the day she has had a funny vision issue.
She describes it like, "everytime I focus on something, it's like a get stuck. I have to force myself to break away from it."
It this a common symptom of doxy for anyone else?

Ask her if it appears to be something like this... not exactly.. but somewhat.
From Wiki:
For other uses, see dissociation (chemistry) and dissociation (neuropsychology).
Dissociation is an unexpected partial or complete disruption of the normal integration of a person's conscious or psychological functioning that cannot be easily explained by the person.
Dissociation is a mental process that severs a connection to a person's thoughts, memories, feelings, actions, or sense of identity. [1]
Dissociation is a normal response to trauma, and allows the mind to distance itself from experiences that are too much for the psyche to process at that time. [2]
Dissociative disruptions can affect any aspect of a person's functioning.[3][4][5][6] Although some dissociative disruptions involve amnesia, the vast majority of dissociative events do not.[7]
Since dissociations are normally unanticipated, they are typically experienced as startling, autonomous intrusions into the person's usual ways of responding or functioning.
Due to their unexpected and largely inexplicable nature, they tend to be quite unsettling. Dissociation is often a coping mechanism for survivors of trauma.
Different dissociative disorders have different relationships to stress and trauma.[8]
Dissociative amnesia and fugue states are often triggered by life stresses that fall far short of trauma.[9][10]
Depersonalization disorder is sometimes triggered by trauma, but may be preceded by only stress, a bad drug experience, or no identifiable stress at all.[11]

Or is it a kind of brain fog...
Or like a mini seizure. Like time stops for a few moments and she has to snap herself out of it.
If so....
The above are common with Lyme. Not doxy related.. just Lyme related. Neuro symptoms.
Hope that helps.
PS.. I should mention to have her speak with her doctor if the symptom continues. Could be other stuff too and I am NOT a doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Odd things can happen to Lyme eyes. Some people describe seeing spots.
One night when I was reading my book I realized a purple shadow on the page, I could chase it around the page,
but it didn't seem to have anything to do with my finger - like a shadow - and it was purple. huh.
Sometimes, especially looking a the screen, things start looking three dimensional.
I can only describe it like the artwork we have all seen where you stare at it and it's nothing, then you focus just right and suddenly there are dragons.
I used to have difficulty seeing the real picture. I should to to the book store and have a look - bet I can see them easily now!
That might be fun. -p

Okay I had the SAME exact thing happen to me a few months ago. I posted about it here and had a very hard time describing it so that it made sense to others.
It's like when you stare off in to space but then "come to", or snap back to reality after a few seconds, only I could not stop myself from "zoning out" and couldn't seem to control "coming to" again.
It scared the bejeezus out of me because I seemed to have no control over my own mind - very scary. I actually made the mistake of trying to drive to the grocery store when this was going on and ended up having to call my husband from the side of the road because I couldn't keep my eyes focused on the road for longer than a second or two.
When this happened I had just started Zith a few days prior. I completely stopped the Zith for three days and it went away - so for me I think it was herx related. I re-started the zith with no problems and that hasn't happened to me again...
Hope that helps!
