I have read several times ("Lyme Disease Solution" & somewhere else) that Biaxin is more effective in treating lyme than Zithromax.
However, I don't really know why or what research this came from.
I feel like this has proven to be the case in my treatment. I felt that when I switched from Biaxin to Zith I started going backwards (so have restarted Biaxin tonight, actually).
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this too, or if anyone knows why this would be the case?
I thought Zith was a newer, more advanced drug that is in the same family as Biaxin? Why would it be less effective?
Thanks for any personal experiences or help!

I had this experience too. I HATE Zithromax. My LLMD seems to love it. It irritates me to no end. He even recommends it mono therapy.

I'm just mad that I feel like I've gotten worse on it. And it's been really hard on my stomach, so I'm very glad I'm stopping.
I just hope I can start feeling better again and that I have the same response from the Biaxin that I was having previously.
