Okay, first off, I haven't been officially diagnosed yet, so I'm not on any antibiotics to be causing this.

A week ago, I had what I thought was a stomach bug--stomach pain, nausea, fever, diarrhea. It lasted a little over 2 days.

Then I seemed okay for the rest of the week.

Yesterday I started having nausea again, and I just laid around most of the day.

I ate a light supper and seemed to be okay after that. I was somewhat hungry when I went to bed but didn't want to eat anything at that point.

This morning I woke up feeling hungry, but at the same time feeling sort of sick to my stomach. I did eat a light breakfast, and now I'm really nauseated again.

Is nausea like this a symptom of Lyme, or am I just unlucky in getting a relapse of the bug? No one else has come down with this.

For the last 3 months before I was diagnosed with lyme, I was continually nauseous. Sometimes it would nearly go away, but the sight of food would bring it on again.

Turns out I had lyme, babesiosis, and bartonella.

The nausea went away with lyme treatment.

Burrascano lists "queasy stomach or nausea" on p. 10 of his symptom list, 2005 Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease.

Thanks.

I was diagnosed in 1988 or 1989 with irritable bowel syndrome, but most of my symptoms were more nausea and stomach pain than the typical constipation/diarrhea usually associated with it.

It hasn't been a constant thing, but I would have bouts of the same kind of nausea and/or stomach pain every so often since then.

Sometimes I just wonder if I may have been carrying Lyme around all this time without a huge flareup of symptoms till the past year.

Constant nausea here too, my worst symptom. I feel for anyone that has to deal with this symptom chronically. Not only is it the nausea but with it- weight loss, woozyness, dizzyness, increased motion sickness, no appetite, stomach pain, vomiting, ect.

The only thing I have found to help take the edge off sometimes is Ativan. That would mean, my nausea is triggered by the brain most likely and bartonella really gets into the brain and is hard to get out.
