I have said for awhile now that I have brain fog. The symptom that leads me to believe this is not really a cognitive issue. The main thing I have is feeling somewhat drunk.
Its like there is a film in front of my eyes sometimes, alot of the times... I feel like its almost as if my contacts aren't strong enough and its blurry.. but i've had my eyes checked and i have the right prescription which leads me to believe its brain fog... anyone have this ?
Also, what is brain fog a symptom of--lyme, babesia, bart? i have them all.. my dr thinks im mainly struggling w/bartonella now.. has rifampin helped anyones brain fog clear?

Yep. All of that.
Feeling drunk without having had the fun of any party - tired even after a night's sleep -- and, for me, it's also like I just can't get my eyes to focus - to wake up. Like I just need to put a button and have that happen but I can't find the button. And, yes, my eyes are technically fine, too.
After some brain "mapping" it is clear that my brain is more into the sleep brain waves than the awake ones. That is common with lyme and having seen it on a screen is very validating.
And, when working to sharpen brain waves, sometimes, when I could feel alert to see my brain working okay - if if just for a minute - was way cool.
I could go on and on but I forget until I'm calling upon a certain function - uh - like finding the word I need.
I can't say, though, just which infection because I deal with such a mix. But even candida can cause brain fog. Part, I think is the toxic effect of infection on the brain but also on how well the liver is able to get the toxins out.
I also can't say which abx works best as that has never been an option for me. I treat with alternative methods and aside from those with an antimicrobial nature, Gotu Kola has been the best thing to help my brain work a bit better.
If you want more about that, PM me and I'll forward my research notes.
