Hi everyone,

I first became symptomatic about 9 months ago. For over a week now, I have had a repeat of my initial symptoms. Many of these symptoms I have not had since I first became sick. It almost feels like I was bit again because it is an instant replay of how I felt 9 months ago. I have not felt this bad since then. All of the initial symptoms came roaring back.

A low grade fever, tachycardia, palps, etc is common for me when I am herxing. For the past week or so, I have had a ton of tingling in my face, nerve pains shooting through my scalp, Babs headache at the back of my head, Icy/Hot feeling on my skin, coughing, etc. I have not had these symptoms is a VERY long time.

Is this a flare? I have heard people talk about a flare of symptoms but is that what I am going through? I just completed month 3 of Babs treatment and this all started and I do not know why.

Thank you!

I would suspect a babesia herx myself.

Sounds like a relapse of sorts. You need to go back on abx again. Call your LLMD asap.

Also, colds, viruses, etc. can exacerbate our symptoms and make them flare? Have you caught any of the myriad of diseases this winter?

You're not out of the woods yet, but you will be some day with continued treatment.

Good luck.

Thanks guys.

I have yet to do any real ABX. The only treatment I have had so far is 3 months of Babesia treatment. I have been on Mepron only because I cannot tolerate Zith. I tried taking Zith again earlier this month in baby doses and I had to stop. Maybe the Zith stirred things up. I do not know.

It has been 9 months since I became symptomatic and it feels like an instant replay. I just do not know what is going on.

I called my LLMD and she did not say a word. All she said was restart the Mepron.

Lymetoo I am on Mepron only for 3 weeks on and then one week off because I do not do well on Zith and my LLMD will not let me have Biaxin either.

This all started when I took my week off break at the end of month three.

I am to add in Bactrim DS this month.

I have my usual Babesia herx each month but this is something far worse. I am getting Icy/Hot sensations on my skin, face tingling, and shooting pains through my scalp that I have not had in a very long time.

My cardiologist said yesterday that is sounds like I have bronchitis because I am coughing so much. I had a chest x-ray at the ER last week and it was clear.

It is very strange. It just feels like when I first got sick all over again.
