Yes, it is a parasitic. Like I said, the theory is that these bugs behave like parasites, and the drug does something to the cyst form that makes it more vulnerable to your immune system or antibiotics.
Well, I'm starting it next week, I'll let you know i n a few months.

I thought it was primarily for babesia. However, I have wondered if the anti parasitics might be effective against the other forms of Bb, i.e., cyst, L, and other form (sorry I don't remember what it's called).
A number of the anti-Babesia meds I've been on have caused me to herx, making me wonder if they aren't somehow working on Bb as well as Babesia, since herxing is supposed to be specific to spirochetes.
