I have done nothing but go down the tubes during the 7 months I've been taking the meds at that dose...

Adam,
I have personally not taken this, however I found a website (drugs.com) that mentions dosages and it seem that your is merely an average does. Lyme is NOT an 'average' infection.

Here's the site: http://www.drugs.com/ppa/cefuroxime.html

I would definitely ask to increase the dose or choose a different med. Call your LLMD, I would hate for you to be wasting your time =)

take care,
Ocean

Like all abx, you have to try and see. My son saw considerable improvement on 1g of Ceftin with no other drugs at all. He began to see noticable improvement within 3 weeks.

My personal opinion is that 7 months is too long to wait to see results - I think that if you are going to see something happen, you will start to see changes within 4-6 weeks at the most.
