Okay, I promise last question for now. You all have been great. I know you aren't doctors and I need to figure things out with my LLMD. He thinks all these dark, dark thoughts and anxiety of mine are herxes. That may be true, but I don't know that I can handle them.

As I am already pulsing, taking days off doesn't seem to be the answer. I am pulsing three drugs M, W, F at high doses:

1200 omnicef
600 zith
300 mycobutin.

I was thinking about cutting the omnicef in half to 600 and seeing if that might slow these mental herxes down some. Then I can up it as I get control of the herxes.

Anyone know if that is okay. I think that it should be. Many people take 300-600mg of omni.

Beyond asking my LLMD, thoughts?

I've been on Omnicef twice for extended periods of time - many months each time. My dosage was always 600 mg., but then again, I'm very sensitive and we always have to treat me conservatively.

Also sounds like the Zith and Mycobutin could be giving you Bartonella herxes, which often include anxiety. My Bartonella herxes on Rifampin were like living in a horror movie.

Jill,

I am trying to figure out if I am herxing or reacting to the drugs themselves. I was on doxy/rifampin/zith daily for 4 1/2 months and I never had herxes like the ones that I am having now.

On the pulsing schedule with the higher doses and the omnicef, possibly herxing like crazy.

Could I really herx for almost 4 weeks straight? The anxiety and dark thoughts do sound like bart herxes. I know high levels of omnicef can alter mood.

So confusing. I don't know what my body isn't handling.
