Good morning,
I wish I had the magic answer to make you feel better on these drugs; but I don't
I can only encourage you to call your doctor and let him know what's going on.
You may want to ask him if you should change meds???
You can do it once you find the right treatment.
Hang in there, take a warm bath and have a cup of hot tea.
Let me know how you make out,
Steve

I just found this on another site:
Posted: Wed Feb 18, 2009 9:13 pm Post subject: Air Hunger Reply with quote I have had air-hunger off and on for about 5 years. It got really bad when I first started treating Lyme with Doxy and Plaquenil.
After 3 months, I switched to Azithromycin and Plaquenil and Mepron to treat Babesia. I had air-hunger sometimes for a week at a time, and then it gradually, (knock on wood) went away.
(I've been on Mepron for over two months.) From what I've read, I think that the air-hunger is a symptom of Babesia, and the treatment is working...
Any physical activity, even answering the phone would leave me gasping for air before the Mepron started working.
I also had almost a week of severe chest, shoulder, and neck-pain before starting the Mepron.
Like an idiot, I didn't go to emerg!! Looking back, I realize the reason I didn't go was because I was afraid they'd take me off of antibiotics, since most doctors here don't treat for Lyme.
I would never do that again! I definitely should have gone to emerg for assessment.
Thanks a bunch! It sounds SO similar to what is going on with me! I guess it must be a Herx.. As Dr D said.
I meant to ask you, have you ever had to call him with a problem or question? If so did you actually call or fax or email? I forgot what he told me to do when I saw him.
