Does anyone know if you can get tested in the United States for the Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) virus?

The New York State Department of Health Web site says it offers testing for Powassan virus, which is the only recognized tick-borne flavivirus in the United States that I know of. Its known geography is in the northern northeast and northern midwest states.

I was tested for deer tick virus/powassen and came up negative. However, there ought to be more testing of people with tickborne diseases to see if some of us might have it. No one is doing this in an organized way.
BTW, TBE can be acquired by traveling to Europe or other places where it exists. So, travelers might be getting a flavivirus that is not known to be in the U.S. In Russia, for instance, there are published accounts of lyme and TBE coinfections.

Another note, my daughter was blood tested for TBE here in Switzerland. She had many of TBE symptoms after a tick bite last May. But her blood tests came negative.
She had headaches, high fever, spine pains and the problem lasted about 3 weeks, with a short interval in between (that is how acute infection occurs in most cases).
I suspect that the blood tests get just one strain, and if there's any genetic mutation in the strain, you'll get a negative.
What is known here is only the acute phase of the disease (viral), nothing is known (that I know) about any possible chronic disease caused by the virus.
I tested her energetically, and the answer was positive. So I treated her with the help of my doctor, with anti viral treatment. We also used ingestable nosodes of FSME (the German name for TBE).
