Many with lyme have developed thyroid problems. Hypothyroid can cause a sensation of something being caught in the throat.
Also I thought about sinus issues. Many with lyme have sinus infections which can also drain/drip into the throat causing sensation of something tickling the throat.
So if it's a virus it will most likely stop. If it another sx of illness these are two possiblities since lyme primary infection can lead to many secondary issues like thyroid disease or sinus.
