Greenstone is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer. Their generic drugs look exactly the same as the Pfizer brand drugs, and I assume they have the exact same ingredients as well. Two Lyme-related drugs that Greenstone makes are Zithromax and Diflucan.
So I am researching what other generic manufacturers are wholly owned subsidiaries of brand name drug companies.

Very interesting.
They might not have the same ingredients even if they share the same parent company. It should be easy enough to get the answer, though.
Some of the fillers and dyes might be different (cheaper). If you are allergic to wheat, corn, soy or dairy even slight differences can matter.
While you are at it, I wonder which subsidiaries of major drug companies are operating out of the Caymen islands or other off-shore tax havens.

You might find a list through someone at your local business journal . . . or by calling the economics department at a university near you - or a librarian.

I found a lead--"Consumers will have the same product experiences with Authorized Generics as they did with the innovator pharmaceutical products in areas such as taste, color, mouth feel, size and shape. This is because an authorized generic is the innovator's prescription drug approved under an NDA by the FDA, with a generic label." http://www.patriotpharmaceuticals.com/patriotpharmaceuticals/faqs.html
So the keyword to look for, I think, is "authorized generic." Off to Google "authorized generic" Omnicef, to see what comes up...
