need LOTS of water after that to clear away whats released by massage out of your system. go with gentler massage, not so deep tissue--will make you more sore the next day

I too could not do epsom salt baths; later I changed to very little epsom salt about 1/2 cup and not such hot water, just very warm water.
It gets my heart rate up which I feel at least helps get more oxygen to my body. I don't stay in but about 15 minutes. It's the only way to get my heart rate up, since I am not yet able to exercise. I feel drained when I get out, but feel better the following day.
I feel better if I drink cool water during and after.

As others are saying, the key is drinking a LOT of water. I know that I use to start blacking out in the epsom salt baths and was afraid to even do them anymore.
But water, water, water, is important with massage, suana's or epsom salt baths. I even take the water with electrolytes added in with me when doing any of the above.
