i spoke to my sister, the radiologist, and was telling her about my stomach and my fear of pancreatitis.

she had me move my hang from sternum, down and all.

she finally said she didn't think it was my pancreas but either an ulcer or more probably a hiatal hernia.

i belch, pass gas, have one spot that is extremely sore under left breast, nausea, some constipation, radiates to back, and am now having sharp chest pains. feel better when i don't eat.

oh yes, very overweight...i mean i could loose 75 pounds. i'm working on that, ok?

anybody have a hiatal hernia? sounds like you just take prilosec and loose weight, right?

what is this? the fat club? [Big Grin] [lol] include me in this one too!!

well ladies, we have 1 advantage; ON WINDY DAYS, WE DON'T BLOW AWAY! [lol]

have had it since 79; NO meds for it; and symptoms are as randi's.

also, if you raise your HEADBOARD by putting things 3-5" under it, it's best for hiatal hernia and REFLUX! it's helped me.

today i'll be slip-slidin away. i'm up in the mountains with an ice storm.

last time i slid down to my car-first time i "skiied" in 20 yrs and then i couldn't get back up to the door of the house! i had to climb thru a 4 foot drift for about 25 feet-couldn't have done that with my old knees. i was soaked tho.

Hiatal hernia will show up on a CT. scan.
I have this and my symptoms are ,Gas, belching, chest pains lump in throat feeling and shortness of breath because the hernia pushes up on the diaphragm. Treatment is standard. I was told to stay away from surgery as it is major.

A note on the weight problem in this country,
Growth hormone is added to all animal feed to fatten them up for additional profit; We eat the meat with this growth hormone and guess what ,
The hormone works on us just like the animals.
This is my theory .

Oh Betty I had never heard that one. I love it. I needed a laugh today as my son has lost three out of his first four baby calves. He went for years helping Grandpa and never lost one. Now he has these horribley huge farm payments that his greety ****++###**** uncles created and it is not looking good.

Why are earth do you not take meds for it Betty?
Raising the bed helps for when you are in it but when you are up it is aweful.

Anyway I am going to remember that one the next time someone makes a remark about my weight----that is I would if I had a memory but that is gone.

Hey I don't know if you are serious or not about gaining weight but I have thought for years that might be why all the youger generation is growing so tall with such large feet.

Everyone laughs at me when I say it but look at some of these kids. They are tall.

dorothy, i made that up along time ago! it does get laughs ... chuckle chuckle.

sorry to hear about your son's calves and those awful brothers of yours! still up to their old tricks i see.

you know, i don't know why i'm not; must have been raise bed and LOSE WEIGHT HELPS! that was back in 79 i found out; 30 yrs. ago.

get this, i hurt my chest wall at work hanging up heavy clear plastic for our work windows, and next day was hurting so bad i went to walkin dr.

he examined me and found 3 things wrong: hiatal hernia, gallbladder problems that i ended up going for surgery in a few days, and my pop-out knee problem.

anyway i went for 1 thing, and came out with 3 more things wrong needing correction; uffda !!
