I am beginning to think something else is wrong with me. I've been on antibiotics for almost 2 yrs. 1 yr of IV antibiotics which I am still on and I am losing ground.

Every day around 4pm I will get an episode that I feel coming on--first my tongue starts burning then, the muscles in both jaws tighten and I feel a lot of pressure in my TMJ joints, teeth clench and my heart starts pounding. I will get the burning sensations throughout my body and pressure on the right side of my abdomen and under my right rib cage.

Is this what any of you experience? Is this a herx? I feel lousy and am exhausted every single day. I was Igenex positive. I've done all the antibiotics and heparin.

The way I understand it, a herx happens when there is germ lysis at a level that the body cannot eliminate properly and that causes symptoms. It happens with spirochetes like syphilis, lyme and a few others. A daily herx would be unlikely. Ask your LLMD.

If you are not making progress for your lyme have you been tested/treated for coinfections?

I don't get daily herxes. my herxes last awhile (mine tend to last quite a while like weeks or months)then gradually subside than start again.

Sometimes I do have a certain time of the day when I feel worse- when my symptoms overall are usually worse.

Have you talked to your dr about the 4pm cycle of symptoms?

Are you doing anything to detox? My herxes are pretty long. If i did nothing to detox i am sure they would be even worse.

I am like Azure. Seem to herx for weeks on end although mine are an increase in inflammation mainly in the CNS brain and eyes.

I dont leave the house until after 4 or so as I just feel far to photophobic and generally crappy until then.

I don't get fevers or anything of that nature. Actually I feel like my immune system is not working or something. Have not got "sick" in a conventional sense since relapsing last year when I was under treating with just doxy.
