I wasn't really aware of it as something separate before but now that I've dumped some of the muscle pain in the limbs through treatment, I've noticed this constant, very prominent aching throughout my trunk more now.
I'm just trying to determine if it's the same kind of pain I get in my lower leg bones and if so, what is it most likely to be?
Would it be Bartonella? Is that the only co-infection that causes bone pain or can other infections like parasites, etc. cause this as well?
Thanks for whatever input you can offer.

I am not much help but some mornings, I wake up with extremely bad rib cage pain.
Someone described it well here when they had it as well. It feels like a baby pushing on your ribs when you are further into the pregnany. I couldnt have described it any better, that hit the nail on the head for me.
I dont always have it, do you?

Yes, I always have it - more so when herxing or flaring. Just got worse over the years with no diagnosis or treatment and kind of meshed in with all the other types of pain ie. joint pain, myofasciitis pain, etc.
Certainly have become aware of it more lately as a separate type of pain since having a couple of major die-offs and getting rid of some of the pain sitting in the muscles.

Well, Burrascano lists it as a lyme disease symptom. On p. 10 of his guidelines he lists:
chest wall pain or ribs sore
I also checked my list of co-infection symptoms and don't see it there. So, it seems like it is definitely a lyme symptom.

I have that everyday. It feels like someone kicked me in my ribs, like it's bruised between them.

hmmm, is it sort of like under your ribs and on both sides?
i had one doc tell me "pancreatitis". whoaaa...
sometimes it's right where the ribs curve in the middle, otherwise below and around to the back.
dang frustrating. it's not related to anything i eat.
sleeping on the left side hurts and so does bending over.
nothing seems to help.

So a search on rib pain.
There are so many posts on it you couldn't read them all.
Can be Lyme, can be babesia, can be other things.
I have it...it goes away on biaxin.
Hugs,

I used to have alot of rib pain during the night, laying on my side. Ended up with a deformed rib cage after being pregnant, bones didn't go back together right in the front. I blame the Lyme

brf, When I first came down w/ late Lyme symptoms, the Primary 1 that stood out was a CONSTANT medium pain in one spot along my lower ribcage. Not an unusual symptom for some Lyme subspecies, esp. those found in Europe.
It wasn't a co-infection as best as my LLMD, PCP or LLND thought. Just the Lyme! It should dissipate during treatment, though it may take a couple months. ;/

I sometimes have the sore spot along the bottom of the ribs or on one side of the ribs.
I'm glad to get the info that Dr B says it's lyme.
I thought mine was babesia because one weekend away, i didn't take my malarone pills, and the whole front side of the L ribs got sore fast, and got worse and worse for ten days , unitl i rubbed them with Farah-type essential oils--- complete fast relief!
