Can anyone recommend a good Lysine supplement, like one your LLMD recommended?
I would like to add it to my supplements.
Here is a good website that talks about the role Lysine supplementation may play in preventing herpes outbreaks (which includes shingles, EBV, HHV-6, etc):

L lysine has been used for decades in the help of herpes outbreaks. I can tell you when I go off it I get more fever blisters... Sorry had just a second but had to answer! Best of luck

Hubby takes the generic brand from Vitamin Shoppe. If you are looking for really high quality then try either Jarrow or Allergy Research or Nutricology -- should say pharmaceutical grade. Check with Vitacost.

I have used L-Lysine for years and can attest to it's effectiveness. You don't have to spend a fortune on it. I use expensive supplements for some things but for this nature made works just as well.

Allergy Research Group L-Lysine Free Form Amino Acid 1,000mg. Recommended by my alternative doctor. It only costs $7.95 for 100 veggie capsules.
