When it kills off the babs, does it have to only get killed in the growth cycle like lyme?
Or, does it happen all the time immediately?

...Yes, for many of us. It's antibacterial and antiparasitic both and it works by somehow interfering with the offending organism's use of folic acid. (it was explained in detail to me before but it was pretty techy and I've forgotten most of it...bottom line, it gets the job done)
I think it actually kills babs, while it's bacteriostatic with Bb.

I guess when i take it, I don't believe it's working because it seems others are on different meds for babs and Bb..
So it also works for lyme then?

according to an old study by a Dr Robert Gasser in Austria, when combined with roxithromycin (a macrolide) it's as effective as IV rocephin.

I was under the impression it is used mostly for bart. My 3 kids have been on it for about 7 months. We have seen some progress with it on bart symptoms for two of mine. The other has been getting increasingly angry and difficult so we just switched to rifampin for the bart instead of bactrim.
They also have babs and lyme and are on Mepron, zith and artemisinin.
