I am a fair way towards getting better, however still have some niggling symtoms remaining which I am wondering if they are lyme or candida.

Some new symptoms have emerged since christmas. I'll admit that I have not been doing as well with my lyme diet as I should be. Could it be candida? I just don't know how severe this can be.

symptoms left.

muscle twitching
muscle aches in legs
muscle jerks in legs
crawling/vibrating feelings
return of occasional heart palps since christmas
occasional anxiety

I would say I'm feeling pretty good most days, but just having some niggles and feeling like some of these are getting worse.

I have started my diet again and am taking pau d arco and garlic to help control yeast. I have felt a bit funny in the last couple of days - light headed, more palps, ache in chest, etc which is maybe a candida herx.

I am thinking about seeing if my doctor can prescribe some diflucan or something. Does this react with other abx? I'm on rifampin, clarithromycin and tinidazole.

I am also taking probiotics.

Thanks

Kelly

You might want to see about reactions with Rifampin... not sure ..

www.drugdigest.com

Some of those symptoms COULD be yeast. I know I've had the twitching and even jerks from candida. That's when I know it's bad.

and definitely the crawling sensations could be from candida.

niggles... [lol] I got a kick out of that word must be an Australian thing, but on a more serious note I have all of the symptoms you mention and mine are definetly from the lyme, as I have just begun treatment.

I'm guessing just keep going until they are gone but definetly avoid sugar and get on a good probiotic if you aren't already.

Take Care,
Ann

so you have been on tx about a yr?

i was on for two yrs-real high dose orasl and doc and i decided to see what would happen if i came off. my bad fatigue and severe joint pain was gone-but had stuff left over like you.

for two years i detoxed and fought candida and many sx went away that i thought were lyme...

don't know if you have txed long enough-but if you feel pretty good and have hit everything then maybe you might try it and see what happens

I have been on treatment since May so close to a year.

I would find it surprising if I went backwards whilst on meds. Tinidazole has shaken things up a bit, but planning to continue treating for a couple more months than hopefully able to get off the abx for a trial.

Forgot to mention I have recently realised that my legs feel worse when I've eaten badly that day. Takes an hour or so to come on which points to yeast.

I am back on the straight and narrow now and hopefully it will make a difference!

Kelly .. me too. I would have the twitching and jerking as I'm lying in bed trying to go to sleep.... and it would be during times I was misbehaving on the eating !!
