So, I really was hoping that they would be very positive or no bands. If he has Lyme, it is congential.
Here they are:
IgM: 41 IND IgG: 39 IND 41 +++
Ideas??? He has some symptoms, mainly neuro and fatigue. I think my parents think were are over-reacting to think it's Lyme, but they believe I have it.

That's a tricky result. It can go either way. If it were me, and the history is compatible -- which it appears to be, I would assume Lyme was a primary suspect. Of course a specialist should be brought in and the full case should be explored.
The circumstantial evidence is strong enough to warrant doing.

My daughter had a similar WB. We did an abx challenge to see how she reacted. She herxed, so we had confirmation.
Remember, the testing is to confirm clinical diagnosis .... it's not a diagnosis on its own.

My LLMD told me that an IND on a species specific band(39)is like a fingerprint.
It doesn't matter how dark the fingerprint is, it's still the same fingerprint.
I would go with your gut and get an opinion/diagnosis from a good LLMD. There are too many signs...history, symptoms and labs.

Absolutely! Band 39 is an extremely specific and important band. Read Dr C's take on it.

My daughter had all IND on her WB, but were on Lyme specific bands.
Bands 34, 39, 83-93 with a ++ on band 41.
No doubt she had Lyme.
She had joint pain, fatigue, shakiness (internal), etc.
She was 5 when she started treatment.
How old is your son?
Neuro symptoms are not "normal" in anybody unless
They have a history involving the brain or CNS.
I would highly suspect Lyme and have my child see a specialist.
Both of my children have congenital Lyme.
Just my thought.

Thank you all so much! I just read on the Igenex where it says if you have bands positive or IND that are double starred, it may be clinically significant.
I made an appointment with an LLMD in WI a month ago, so we will be going to that on April 7.
Sixgoofy, Thanks, that reassures me because I know your daughter had/has Lyme. I am curious to see what abx does for him. He's never had one in his life!
Geneal, My son will be 8 in May. You are right in that he should not be having neuro symptoms.
Dek, I asked hubby I think 4 times today, "Do you think he is normal thought?" And he said, "no I don't think any of our kids are normal. I think they do have Lyme."
So I guess I should just go with my gut. I'd been awhile since he complained of chest pain and he did again last week. He's such a tall skinny thing too. I wish he was a little heavier, would make me feel better about starting him with abx.
MB, I know what you mean. If that one IND on band 39 hadn't showed up, then I would wonder a little more, but then again, he has had symptoms since he was born. We just didn't know what 'it' was.
Lymetoo,
I'm going to re-read what Dr. C says. I kinda wish his IND on 39 was a definite +, but then some LLMD's say that they consider them a definite +.
Thanks all!! Our son will be coming home from school in a little bit...eeek! I think at least he is going to be excited that we get to go to a hotel in 10 days =)

Remember that when they saw the tiny band on 39, it was REALLY THERE...just faint or light.

Hi Tutu,
Very true.. I guess it's hard to know that he most likely has Lyme. I mean, hubby and I both suspected it based on symptoms. But... I guess it's just kinda crazy to think that 6 months ago, we didn't even know I had Lyme for sure.
