I am wondering if anyone has been treated or is being treated by him. Please let me know what you think. Feel free to PM me. I have an appointment on the 20th. So excited! He seems very caring.

Thanks.

Barby, share the info I gave you with VB by PM, I'm too lazy.

I am not a physician, so do your own research to confirm any ideas given and then speak with a health care provider you trust.

dont know how to PM both, so will give some feedback without trying to cross and lines here

i am under the care of this LLMD. very knowledgable in lyme. goes by dr b guidelines. has a personal passion for this. got aggressive with my case when brain and cardiac issues were getting worse. got my hubby to agree to come in for testing and just found out he is + (and we are talking about a guy who does not go to Dr's, never takes any kind of pill- if he grabs advil the migraine is horrible!! )

does a good job of educating the patients. and does expect each pt. to be active in your own care. do what you need to or dont complain- not quoting this LLMD just saying, you will be educated during your visit. if you dont make lifestyle changes you need to then you will not respond to tx well.

has good info for parents who may have given children conginital lyme (we fall into this catagory, and will be testing kids next. ) i was dx in 9/08 and found him from the wonderful folks here at lymenet. kept calling docs in my area and hearing "we dont do lyme"...was the beggining of an eye opening experience.

i was encouraged to read "cure unknown" and "the lyme disease solution" before my first visit. i did read both and this helped me go in with better understanding- i would recommend this as well to anyone new to lyme...i sure was. my education in lyme was vauge and i learned was very inaccurate.

there has been other dr's learning as well from this LLMD and i was referred to 3. 2 of the 3 were great, only 1 was very dissmissive. so, i choose to follow the care of my specialist here locally for that. I was honest to this LLMD when my opinion was aked about that specialist and dr w was stunned, apparently things usually go well but did not for me. even a family member with me could not believe how the whole thing went. drove 5 hr, hotel, gas, food for a 5 min (if that) assessment, not even vitals.

ok- done venting about that.

i am grateful for one of the referrals that got me started in the right direction and have now been able to find doc locally once the one dr w sent me to got the ball rolling.

PM metallic sent i am sure gave other info and upcoming changes to that LLMD practice.

hope that helps some. if you have any other questions feel free to PM me
