I recently saw and LLMD (Dr D) in Boston. He told me not to take any supplements with the Tetra he prescriped to me. Something about how the bacteria cannot make their own B vitamins? Anyhow, i read Dr B's lyme treatment guidelines and I'm not sure which one i should be listening to. Help?
thank you

You have to use your own intuition.
Best Bet...Use Dr. D. for testing thru Igenex and blood labs. Get initial results.
I don't think Dr. D is known for nutrition advice and body balancing. But he does understand diagnosis of lyme, etc. I have researched the Boston area, and find there are no LLMD's there who do what other known LLMD's do for treatment.
Try the protocol Dr. D. Suggests.
But also, take nutritional support. If you have lyme and co, you are not absorbing nutrients from your food correctly.
If not in pill form, best bet to use liquid shakes with amino acids, and vitamins b and D. Magnesium is also very important. This can supplement your normal, healthy diet.

You can get the best advice from LLMD's around the nation right here from their patients! Both traditional and natural!
thanks. He did diagnose me. I was one of the lucky few who had a pretty clear western blot.
I feel like I need to take my vitamins but i don't want to if they are going to make it worse.
any other feedback from other lymies would be great
thank you

Can you have a more detailed discussion with your doctor. There may be some reason he says this but did not go into detail. Sometimes, it is not until I hear more detail that I best understand the importance.
Or - it could be his opinion or intuition.
What about the time of day for the vitamins? Did he mean not at all? What about foods that are highly nutritious, then? I would think you need to really get into juicing, etc. Would that be okay with him?
B-vitamins really can help the nerve tissue so I can understand your need to have a clearer picture on this. Sorry that I can't wipe the fog off the mirror on this. My brain is far to foggy right now.
