My son tested smear positive for the mystery bug. The whole co-infection, ANA antibody panel was negative. Positive lyme bands but interpreted as negative.

My son is autistic and we are thinking this might be a major player in why he can't think straight. He was not vaccinated.

He has not taken antibiotics for any of the above but he had antibiotics for strep and lymphadenopathy in the past (no cognitive gains from either).

I have started him on the Z herb protocol and he seems to have a little more energy but I'm not sure what else I shold give him to attack this protozoa.

I would prefer to attempt to address it with herbs first. Someone recommended Rain-Tree A-P. Has anyone ever tried this for the mystery bug?

My son's doc spoke with Dr. F about this bug yesterday while I was present ( I work at her office). He said that he uses Zythromax and enzymes for kids.

My son was on Zithromax for a month using the biofilm protocol...no change. We were trying to reduce gut strep. I think it worked for that.

We did some muscle testing. Drugs that showed positive were: biaxin, minocycline, alinia and furozone.

Any thoughts???

I would try lysine and lactoferrin. Hubby is taking 3000 mg of each. Maybe half or a quarter dose for a child?

The herb that has been the most helpful for hubby is cryptolepis. Unfortunately it did not erradicate the mystery bug and that herb is in short supply right now.

Artemesia might be helpful. Herbs that are used for malaria would be the most beneficial. Neem leaf capsules at high dose (up to 9 capsules daily now and plan to increase) have been somewhat helpful for hubby. Ordered this from

The minocycline and alinia and zithromax did not work for hubby. He just added plaquenil and so far not having much luck with that either.
