Hey all,
Has anyone else here with Lyme suffered mottled skin, especially the hands? at first it was just pain, then came the mottling and discoloration of the hands, blue/grey/dark red, etc. The mottling looks like some sort of terrible blood or nerve restriction but a vascular surgeon told me my circulation is great. What gives? what about the infection causes this? This with the pain is almost too much to handle.

Thanks, I didn't know that was a known symptom. I had some othe rnon-Lyme literate docs and therapists tell me it may just be a restriction somewhere. I say it is Lyme or a co-infection. I guess it can get worse under treatment during a herx.

Looks like you're treating for Babesia?
Yes, my doc said it could be Bart as well. Did you read that abour Bart? We haven't started that yet - only Babesia and Lyme thus far.
So Gael, how to get rid of the parasites/worms?

I am using the salt/c protocol (sea salt) that has worked quite well. Richidie, I thought I had given you this info before, but here it is if I didn't

Oh yes, it just worries me because of all the salt. Also, I know Vitamin C can interfere with abx absorption! My doctor said my blood pressure is really low and asked me to add salt to my diet. So, a few times a day I take a 1/4 tsp of Sea Salt. Are there better brands???

Is it possible this is caused by Bartonella and since we haven't started treating that......it is still a big problem? My biggest curent problem is pain in the back, shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, and mottling in that hand! Almost seems like a restriction somehwere! Maybe Lyme can cause muscle tightness, pinched nerves, blood vessels, tight fascia, etc.

Well I am back on Ceftin and start Levaquin(sp) next week for Bart. I am told I have to watch exercise due to possible tendon issues with taking this abx. I am hoping this is what knocks out my Bart and finally gives me some relief to my arm pain and blue/mottled hands.
