Is this a high dose? It does not look like others take such high doses. I will likely need to start lower. My LLMD has me taking 500mg capsules. Can I open the capsule and take half.
What doses are people taking? I only take my meds on M, W, F.

Wow, that is a lot. 500mg two times a day, MWF?!
I take 300mg M-TH only. But still not up to full dose - usually I only take 200mg M-TH because I've been feeling so awful and not sure if it's the Art or the increase in Mepron my LLMD put me on. Whatever it is, I can barely function... and have stopped some of my meds because I feel so crappy.

What is the brand? Is there anything else in the formula that accounts for that maybe being the total of all in the capsule?
If you decide to divide it, first call the company and be sure that is okay to do. Some things can be irritating to the throat, etc. unless in a capsule.

I think this is a good brand. Just call before opening capsule - or put half into another empty capsule at first.
I would take in the middle of your lunch at first, too, so that you have some food work with it.
I think you will be fine, some LLMDs actually do very high doses of this in short courses. Much higher than what you will do.
Just start slow and on a day when you don't have to go out and save the world.
Thanks so much for the advice. Every time I turn around I am pulsing a new drug and having to deal with the effects or anticipating the effects. Last week it was flagyl. Also, he wants me to try another drug for sleep.
I just get so overwhelmed.

I take 800 mg of Nutricology brand Artimisinin 2x/day on M/W/F. I started Mepron at the same time. I was expecting to feel a whole lot worse than I am. You can get Art in 200 mg capsules (maybe even 100). It might be more expensive, but it's probably better and safer than dividing capsules. Just a thought....
