I have been at 1/2 of a 500 mg tab of levaquin for the past two weeks with 3 days off in between because of severe migraine.

All of my symptoms relate to the head. Head pressure, headaches, eys focusing, ear fullness, anxiety, tingling in the face.

Well in the last three days, I have felt like I am in la-la land. I lay on the bed and hours pass and it feels like minutes to me.

my body feels very heavy, and I slurr my words and have mind blanks.

Today I am having pricklies in my right hand my left lower back and face. I feel like I am on another planet, in another galaxy.

I know that levaquin can cause neuropathy and tendon problems. I am not having muscle aches or tendon aches.

the other stuff has me feeling like a limp noodle.

I see my doc on Monday, but in the interim, anyone esle feel spacy, uncoordinated, or other things that I mentioned on this drug?

Wish I could blame it all on too many glasses of a nice red wine [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

No, I have taken a ton of Levaquin and NEVER had any of those symptoms. If possible, you should maybe call your doc this weekend if he has a call service, or stop the meds until Monday.

These symptoms are VERY concerning!!

WIth those sx,
I'd say you need to get off of the drug ASAP. t can cause permanent brain damage (especially if taken with an NSAID, like Advil.)

I had horrible herxing from Levaquin for the first six weeks. It's a tough drug, but it worked wonders for me.

I couldn't take levaquin.

Heart racing, insomnia and tendon pain.

That was after two days.

I don't mind a herx, even a bad one.

However, I decide which side effects or how hard I should push it.

My doctor knows as I have small children, that

I need to be able to function.

Couldn't function on minocycline, levaquin, and I hated rifampin.

Hugs,

Geneal

My LLMD said peope tend to not herx on Levaquin. I am confused now. I started taking it last Friday. I read in two books that if you have Bart and start taking this, you get almost immediate results/relief.

Should I be afraid? I heard people say this medication has ruined their life!
