I took my first tinidazole capsule (500mg) 7 hours ago and now I don't feel good at all. For sure it can't be an instant herx!

I'm shaky, confused, cold, panicky, I feel out of it. I took a calming pill but it didn't help much.

I'm also on biaxin, mino (and rifampin during the 3 weeks/month that I'm off tinidazole).

Are cyst busters vital? Do I really need to take them?

Please share your experiences with tinidazole.

I am currently taking Tindamax(Tinidazole)....

In my opinion I think Cyst Busters are a must have with this disease.

Have you tried Flagyl? Tindamax is one molecule off Flagyl and is supposedly less harsh on the gut.

It may be a herx, I know when I first started taking it I noticed a sudden change for the worse. That was 4 months ago and now my body has tolerated it.

Maybe call your doc if your are concerned it is a reaction.

I have been on Flagyl, Plaquenil, and Tindamax and found that the Tindamax was the calmest on my gut and I tolerated it better out of the 2.

Hope you are ok!

Thanks for replying, Kreynolds.

I feel better now, after taking a very hot bath, and also the Rivotril finally kicked in. I'm dizzy (mino + tini?) but I can live with that.

I took plaquenil for several months and tolerated it very well. But I don't think it's as effective as tini or flagyl though.

Take care,

Julie

Sure it could be an instant herx on that much!!!

Flagyl/tini are rough stuff and VERY necessary! Hang in there. YOu may need to speak to your dr about lowering your dose. RAmp up!

It will be hard to ramp up, because what I have here are capsules that the compounding pharmacy fills. I should be taking 1000mg/day, but have just enough courage to take 500mg for now...

Thanks for the encouragement!
