Just wanted to know if anyone is on IV Zithromax and how it has worked for you. I just started on 500mg a day. I know each person is different. My main symptoms are neuro. Have you found it beneficial?
Thanks

My teenage daughter on IV Zithromax for about 3 weeks now + oral augmentin (for the last week). Just starting to see some improvement in the last few days. Her main symptom was fatigue and not neuro though.
Good luck!

I was on IV Zith just before moving to IV Doxy. I was on it for 3 months minus one week.
Near the end, I started having trouble with feeling like my ears were blocked and under water. Since Zith can cause hearing loss, they wanted me to stop it just incase.
But I think it was a great drug and would have liked to continue on it.
I too have mostly neuro symptoms and was on the babs orals along with it.
Good luck and hope it treats you well.

My husband did well on it and didn't have any problems. He's not particularly neuro. It did help with lung problems he has.

I tried IV doxy then IV rocephin a long time ago, though the rocephin was only for 4 weeks, but neither provided the kind of success I was looking for. I did 3 months on the IV doxy. At the end of it, my doctor and parents were both like, this is ridiculous, we need to stop this.
I think my current LLMD might want to put me on IV again since I have had Lyme for awhile, so I wonder if IV Zithromax would be something good for me? It would be discouraging to go on IV's again and not see a decent amount of improvement.
I have seen improvments from some oral things, but the IV just seemed to go a lot worse for me than it does for most people---I go super sick and didn't really show much improvement considering how sick I got on them.
Did this happen to anyone on some IV meds, but then there was one that actually seemed to work?

Did you do other antibiotics with the IV or just one antibiotic at a time? Combos sometimes work better.

I did Zithromax with them too I think. So IV Doxy + oral Zith, then IV rocephin + oral Zith.
