I have that frequently. Feels like the muscles in my shin area are tight and burning, like I had been walking a lot. It comes and goes. I have been fighting the disease a little over two years and this just started the last 6 months.

Does it feel like a shin splint? This type of pain can be attributed to Bartonella. Have you been tested for bart, or have had any tx for bart along with your lyme tx?

Vitamin D deficiency.
Start taking vitamin D3 and it should go away in a week or two. In the meantime, get some sunshine 20 minutes a day if your meds don't preclude it.

I get the same thing. It does feel like shin splints. Very painful. Mine comes and goes. I haven't been dx'd but I've been told also that bartonella can cause shin pain.
