I have been extremely nauseous for two days and now it feels like something is stuck in my throat, but there really isn't anything there.
Anyway, I am so sick and am wondering if I can take Pepto Bismol for some relief. I am on Dynacin and Zithromax now.
Thank you.

May be a yeast overgrowth. Personally, I'd ask the Dr. in the morning.
Maybe try some apple cider vinegar? That helps me when I get really nauseous.
Maybe some hot red or chamomile tea with a little bit of honey for both the throat thing & the nausea.
Do you drink a full glass of water with your meds and avoid reclining more than 45 degrees for at LEAST 1/2 hour after taking them?
Sometimes your pills can lodge in your esophagus & start dissolving there. That can cause an irritation that can last for days.

Dont take pepto or any vitanins within 3 hours of taking abx's it will bind to them and make them ineffective. Drink lots water and do not lie down for at least a hour after abx.

The bismuth in the pepto will help kill h. pylori is you have it but I would make a tea using fresh sliced or grated ginger root. It's great for setting your stomach and has so many other beneficial effects. Pepto has lot of junk in it you may not need.
The DLG licorice is very good too, as well as licorice tea. Be sure to use DLG licorice because if it is not it can elevate your blood pressure if you have blood pressure issues.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and wisdom.
I called my LLMD this morning and his nurse called back and told me to stop taking the zithromax. She scheduled a phone consultation for me with the other LLMD in the office. That is set for tomorrow.
I am thinking that AliG might be on to something with yeast overgrowth. I have had similar symptoms for years before being diagnosed. Now they are extreme so I think it could be a response to the abx and yeast.

How long have you ben on zithro? Just a thought, but I think that zith hits babesia too and the throat is a babs thing.
I have the same thing, do not have yeast in throat...truly believe that it is babs for me.

also, some of us have vagus nerve or other cranial nerve damage, and some of those issues feel like 'trouble swallowing' or nausea.
I'm not a doctor so this is just what I think I've read on forums, take it with a grain of salt. I can't provide references to anywhere that I've seen it listed as a Lyme symptom, just seems like something I've seen other patients report.

Oh, my gosh, feelfit, that might be the answer, then. Yes, I do have babesia microti. I have been on Zithromax for about three weeks. Plus I take Artemesia for Babs. I bet that is what caused this...a herx.
Now that the nausea has passed for a couple of hours, I am left with a sticky, gooey feeling in my throat like it could expand and strangle me from the inside, if that makes any sense.
I was thinking yeast, but now I am thinking babs herx.
I hope I can go back on Zithromax b/c I want to get rid of this babs.

In future you could order empty caps and double pack some meds to help your stomach.

Marnie speaks of taking a Zantac and 2 Pepto Bismol tablets at the same time.
She states that this Rids Bb from the GI tract. Not sure what the frequency should be. Pepto Bismol will turn your stools black so don't freak out when you see this.
Just thought I'd throw that in there.
