I am curious, are you supposed to take the 600mg of Rifampin all at once (both capsules) or take 300mg 2x a day? My prescription just said "take 2 capsules". I'm curious what other people who have been treated for Bart did?
thanks

Is this your first time on Rifampin? If so, you might want to work up slowly. If you're already experiencing insomnia & anxiety this med may exacerbate it. I hated that med - ugh. Are you taking it with something else?

Interesting... two responses, two different ways of taking it. How long did it take to start helping the Bart symptoms?

I am taking it with Zithromax 500, I have noticed feeling more tired/depressed since I started it about 4 days ago.

I take Rifampin 600 3 hours after dinner. with Mino 100 1 hr before breakfast and Biaxin 1000 1 hour before dinner. For Bart. I did take only 300 Rifampin the first week. A little more tired and achey but no major herx.
