Alright so I've finally figured out that something is going on with my spleen. The discomfort is on my left side around the side and into the back and front of my trunk and its as if I was doing sit ups concentrating on only that area. I'm convinced that my spleen is involved.

Can anyone tell me about enlarged spleen and when its a problem and when I should worry about it? I've put a call into a family friend who is a nurse and my LLMD's nurse. It's not ever unbearable pain but more nagging discomfort especially when I shift a certain way.

I used to get those same pains alot!! My spleen was enlarged. You can get that checked out. My LLMD just felt it and knew it was. I am sure there are other tests too. Maybe a sonagram?

If it is enlarged you have to be careful with what you do. My son's is enlarged too and my LLMD took him out of gym class at school.

So what do you have to do as far as treatment? Just wait it out and wait for it to return to normal?

This morning I woke up with the same thing. I've had many Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors who say, "above all, protect the spleen", so I'm sitting here waiting for some good responses. Thanks for posting this.

My spleen pain would get unbearable. I kept detoxing, I never could find anything else that might help.

It's been months now since I've had it, so it did just get better on its own.

Make a castor oil press to use on it. Here's what you do. Take a old cotton cloth (sock, shirt, whatever) cut it to go across your stomach. Then cut a piece of plastic bag the same size and lay the cloth on the plastic. Then pour castor oil onto the cloth until it's saturated. Then you take it and put the cloth side down over your spleen and place a heating pad over it. Leave it on your spleen for an hour a day. After you're done just fold up the cloth/plastic/castor oil press you made and put it in the fridge until you use it the next day.

This is a natural way to help promote drainage of your spleen (or any part of your lymph system where you place it).

Not sure? My son was told he couldn't run track or participate in gym class.

Maybe someone else knows?

What do you do for cardio? Run?

Your cardio routine? That would be NON-aerobic, right?

Burrascano's guidelines state that aerobics are not allowed until nearly well.

Weight training and other non-aerobic exercise is good but never two days in a row.

Our LLMD just said, NO Contact Sports.

And, he said having an enlarged spleen is pretty serious, so if it does begin to get worse go to the ER. That is what he told us.

The detox mentioned above sounds awesome.

OH, and my LLMD said that our enlarged spleen was due to several viral issues. We have Cyclomeglovirus, HHV-6, Chlamydia Pnuemonia, Cocksackie, and Parvo. I didn't know we could have Parvo, but my husband has very high titers of it.

Since my husband was worse, he got valtrex. He told us to take Olive Leaf Capsules from Olivus. He said that kills viruses. I didn't think anything killed viruses, but I am taking them anyway because I trust him.

Just started the Olive Leaf 2 weeks ago. He said we could herx from it, so I started at 1 three times a day, but he wants us to get to 2 three times a day.
