Hi, I've had chronic Lyme disease, so I know what it can do, though I'm finally okay now.
My girlfriend said that she had Lyme disease years ago, had the rash and everything, lived right near Lyme, CT, was told it was a spider bite, never got treated, and it seemed to have gone away.
Her 2-1/2 year old son just got over a bad illness with fever, and now he's falling, walking funny, and now he just started to stutter.
Does this sound like it could possibly be Lyme that he got when he was in the womb? If she never got treated, I would assume it's still in her.

Yes, I think that is very possible. She should get him to Dr. Jones in New Haven, CT to have him checked.
I JUST got my 13 year old checked for Congenital Lyme. I was shocked when he not only tested positive, but also has 3 white matter lesions in his brain and has Bartonella and Babesia as well.
He is now on IV antibiotics. I never would have known if I hadn't heard so much about Congenital Lyme; his symptoms are mostly behavioral and a bunch of other things that would never seem related.
Good luck; please get the little guy tested. I'm wondering how much stress and strife we could have saved my son if I had ever known earlier....
