I'm just curious to know all of you who are taking Activated Charcoal? I just recently bought some. I know it can be an amazing detoxifier as I've read a few articles about it.

I'm kind of paranoid/scared to put charcoal in my body. LOL. So how do you guys like it? Did it give you any side effects? I know it can cause constipation, but did it give you any other side effects or symptoms or problems?

Does it help your lyme symptoms/herx reaction?

Thanks all!

I originally marveled at how delicious my Mother's banana cream pie was. But then I had activated charcoal... I'll never go back! [lol]

Seriously, activated charcoal is good when you've dumped toxins, toxins are dumped when you've actively killed lots of pathogens. Or if your chelating and you've moved lots of metals. It's very good at moving sludge out of the body, along with other binders.

I've still got unopened bottles. I haven't had activated charcoal in over 8 months. Just don't test for it anymore. I don't test for any binders. The binders I use are purely dietary. I just don't need to supplement anymore.

So what I'm trying to say is, if your head is clear. You probably don't need binders. If your head is foggy, your probably toxic and need to move stuff out. Binder can be very helpfull as part of the process.

If your head is clear, stick to the banana cream pie.

I have used activated charcoal many times during a herx. I find it to be quite helpful.

I have heard of others who have noticed a lessening in brain fog-herxing within 30 minutes of taking it.

Remember drinking lemon-water as often as possible is also a great detox.

And to take the activated charcoal 2 hours after antibiotics and other meds.

I hope it helps you! I recommend it.
