I am to add IV tigecycline to my protocol and was given a test dose last week. I've been doing pretty well lately, but about a day after the tigecyclne, I started having an increase in most of my symptoms, and even some new ones, such as very deep leg and foot pain. I was on a course of IV Levaquin and seemed to handle that well, but maybe that pain is a residual side effect?

I was also on an antibiotic holiday last week, so maybe that's the reason.

I know the tigecycline is a strong one....I would love to hear from anyone who's tried it.

IV graduate. As of 1/10, oral Omnicef, Minocyline, Mycobutin, Levaquin, and Flagyl. Lyrica and a bunch of supplements.

Was on it last summer. First month was tough nausea, but it made the most improvements w/my neuromuscular issues. Had to stop IV due to blood clots.

It is supposed to work on co-infections too. I had much less feet & nerve pain while on it.

Good luck.
