"Of the two arginine-degrading enzymes being explored clinically,

***arginine deiminase is a decidedly foreign mycoplasm-derived enzyme,*** whereas

***human arginase 1 is a native liver enzyme.***"

Bb:

L-argininine <-> L- citrulline (and NH3) via arginine deiminase

Us (humans):

L-arginine -> L-ornithine via arginase ( a liver enzyme)

So...Bb's arginine deiminase is competing with OUR liver arginase 1 which BOTH impact L-arginine -> DIFFERENT amino acids.

Wanna know what happens to ornithine?

Research ornithine decarboxylase and its relationship to GTP, IL1B, etc.

And green tea.

WHAT?

"The genetic regulation of enzymes involved in arginine and ornithine ***synthesis*** has been investigated in the parasitic trypanosomatid Herpetomonas samuelpessoai."

I'm talking about not the synthesis of alanine and ornithine, but their breakdown leading ultimately to polyamines.

Want to discuss IL1B? Interleukin, not "Iterkeukins"?

I'm assuming a spelling error (?)

"Interleukin-1beta induces ornithine decarboxylase activity in insulin-producing cells"

I'm getting steamed.

If you want pancreatic cancer...keep allowing the high levels of TNF alpha and IL 1 B.

It happened to a lyme friend of mine.

GET INFLAMMATION DOWN!

"Thymoquinone, the major constituent of the herb's oil, was found to have anti-inflammatory activity resulting in lower levels of ***inflammatory compounds linked to pancreatic cancer***, according to findings presented at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 100th Annual Meeting 2009 in Denver."

Now...need the: ZBP - 89 recruits histone deacetylase -1 info?

ZBP = zinc binding protein...

I'm lost as can be. I wish things were clearer. lol. I appreciate all the research/advice, but I can't comprehend it. [Frown]

Heee heee Seekhelp, I'm right there with you.

Believe it or not, I have a BS degree in a science field which required 4 years of chemistry, biology, etc.

BUT this Lyme has eaten my brain. I can't follow anything that's is too complicated, involved or long.

Just need easy layman's terms.

Ditto, it's just a tease to post info that might as well be written in ancient Greek and ask questions of us, as well.

Plus, how does one apply what's done in a study to ordinary day to day life with regard to this illness and your LLMD.

Easier said than done. I need ordinary language in complete sentences without abbreviations I don't understand in order to comprehend this stuff.

To Life...most people here know I do NOT have lyme, my sister had lyme and is now "autoimmune".

The worse "parasite" you have is Bb.

"Cytokines might play a role in the development of insulin-dependent diabetes. Interleukin 1beta (IL-1beta) has been shown to alter the functional state of insulin-producing beta cells."

IL 1 beta triggers ornithine decarboxylase which starts the *breakdown of* ornithine.

"Ornithine (an amino acid) stimulates insulin secretion and helps insulin work as an anabolic (muscle building) hormone. It detoxifies ammonia and aids in liver regeneration."

Yes...I am very aware that insulin activates PFK.

IL 1 B and pain:

IL 1 B much more:

To Life...watch a video explaining sed rate here 'cause you really don't understand!

Bb is breaking down OUR amino acid, arginine, via a unique enzyme -> NH3 (ammonia!) and L-citrulline.

WE breakdown arginine -> L-ornithine

Big difference...

Bb is breaking down OUR arginine (and proline) AND uses OUR lysine in its cell walls.

That depletes those amino acids for US to use.

Oddly...those 3 amino acids are the ones mentioned in many abstracts to take when fighting cancer...

in addition to vitamin C and green tea extract.

Do NOT take those five nutrient supplements if you are doing any other treatment...abx/infrared/Rife/HBO

Too much die-off too fast = sepsis = death.

Chose YOUR path (ONE!!!) to get inflammation down WHILE hitting Bb:

1.IV abx + IV MgCl on many subsequent days (based on the Romanian abstract - they cured lyme)

2.Rife therapy + Mg

3.Infrared + MgCl

4.Pycnogenol (1mg per pound of body weight per day...all at once) + HBO ($$$ and likely will take 40 "dives" at least).

5.Vitamin C, green tea extract, proline, lysine, arginine...no, I don't know the doses...follow the bottle directions and see your reaction.

Keep the probiotics up...LOTS and vary them.

For a "herx" (which is likely excess ammonia from protein being broken down)...consider ACZ zeolite to bind it and eliminate it via the urinary system.

P.S. LiCl will work too, but it is very hard to dose and tolerate. It causes hypermagnesemia. Lithium is the most reactive mineral, but we need only a very small amt.

To Life...you can be R/A positive without having rheumatoid arthritis. There are other reasons for a positive rheumatoid factor:
