ok, i went to the doc at 10:30 this morning, had final exam and tests done.

you are NOT going to believe this, i didn't at first, but she swears it's true.

first off, p was on vacation and i saw this really nice female doctor.

anyway, to make a long story short -- i have not been on hormones. i used a natural cream....MISTAKE!!!!

i did a ton of yard work, all that lifting, over 50 bags of mulch, stone, and planting all those shrubs...how stupid can one person get anyway....HERE'S YOUR SIGN.....lol

WHERE WAS I?? OH YEAH, my vagina has atrophied and i've tears in it, like muscle damage. she said apparently i damaged it by lifting and all that work since it is sooo thin....and it's spasming causing the pain and bleeding...

and i don't have a uterus, had that out in 97, and my bladder is fine, right in place. have two small hemorroids, which are not causing big problems, so leave them alone.

solution -- GET BACK ON HORMONES!!! she gave me premarin vaginal cream to use once a day for two weeks, flexeril for spasms, and a suppository for the hemorroids.

she said no trip to taos until after one week as she doesn't want me doing a lot of sitting or walking/moving around.

apparently this is common. i'm floored--tears in the uterus from lifting??? yep, that's what she said.

but man, it hurts. apparently i have also severe strained the pelvic uh, thingy, wall, or something, and that's also irritated and inflamed which is making things worse.

she saw a woman last week who actually tore her muscles and is having surgery. thank heavens i'm not at that stage yet.

BUT she did say the bladder is leaking pretty bad so i have to have some test on friday to measure the bladder or something.

i am so thankful. the Lord was watching over me on this one...whew...

but man, tears in the vagina...whoa....wierd...but apparently you can do it when the vagina is thin and damaged from no hormones...

so i'm resting this week and taking it easy...

Randi...Wow...Tears in my Vagina..

I've never heard or read about that.

Sounds like a Country song.

Hope your feeling better and rest up.

Oh and consider a patten for that song title! [Cool]

I'm very sorry to hear about what you were told today but I'm puzzled as to why you are not on bio

identical hormones, such as progesterone, biest and testosterone if your tests warrant it. They help keep us young and tissues strong, same with the skin on our face. That's part of anti aging medicine.

Hope you feel better soon.

i had wanted to go natural instead of using premarin so i was using a yam product. i am against premarin due to the horrific treatment of the horses. it's just inhumane and terribly cruel.

i told my doc no thanks...but looks like i'm going to have to go on the cream anyway.

You can be on bioidentical hormones... better than Premarin.

Ask about it .. your dr will probably say it's all the same .. but it's not.

Take care. I'm glad you're on the right path and I hope it all heals very soon!

Premarin is not only inhumane but it's very bad for you. Make sure to research bio identical hormones. Hopefully your doctor is versed in them.

They are natural and are compounded for your bodies needs.

Oy, tears in your vagina.

Lol, it sounds like a country song--forget Teardrops on my Guitar, just go with Tears in My Vagina.

I know I tore pretty bad when I gave birth the first time--3rd degree tears then.

That wasn't pleasant either.

Glad your doc had some answers, and I hope you can get some treatment that works.

I'm so sorry to hear you're in such pain. I'm glad that you acknowledge the horrific treatment of the horses to make premarin. I would never use it, myself.

I hope you can find a more humane alternative. It sounds like there are some out there.

Bless your heart! I didn't know that was possible from heavy lifting...WHY was your Lymie behind lifting heavy stuff anyways, might I ask?? [tsk]

I know, I know...the whole "I can do it myself" thing. We all suffer from that.

Not quite the same thing, but I have endometriosis which causes lesions to grow outside the uterus. I tore one of my lesions lifting something one time and MAN! It was soooo painful and it took weeks to heal.

Take care of yourself, take it easy and I'm sure we don't have to tell you this - but no heavy lifting!

Lauren

well it's like i said "here's your sign".....

i get sooo frustrated when i want something done and husband will NOT do yardwork or anything. he'd rather be off flying or hunting or something, anything but being at home...

so if i want the trash taken out or something done, well then i ust have to do it myself.....

ain't nobody gonna do it but me...

that's one of my worst lyme symptoms -- IMPATIENCE....

I'm sorry about the Tears in your Vagina and the Tears in your Eyes ----- DOES sound like the makings of a good country song!!!

I'm glad it's not your bladder, etc. and you don't have to have all that surgery I told you that I had back in '02.

Just be really careful and rest. I've had vaginal hemorroids before, and man ------ you talk about PAINFUL!!!! The best relief I found was to lay flat on my back on the floor, with my rear-end scooted as close to the bed as possible, and elevate my legs (knees bent) and rest my calves flat on the bed.

Don't know if I described that very well, but you're making a "chair" position sort of. It does wonders! Also, put your hands or a pillow under your rear-end to take even more pressure off the blood flow to your v-area! Less throbbing pain............

Hope you feel better soon!

Randi....YAM CREAM IS THE LEAST EFFECTIVE. For all of you using bio-identical progesterone cream, do not get one with yam.

There are 300 plants that have bio-progesterone properties, and yam is the least reliable.

Don't shut off the creams...you are putting yourself at risk by using progestin. It is attributed to cancer.

Most OBGYNs will not recommend the natural route because they cannot write an RX for it. Most are not educated.

Sorry you are in so much pain. We will take your warning seriously.

randi, so sorry about your tear, you poor dear. OUCH! i hope you are feeling better soon.

i just wanted to pass on some info i got from my specialist.

premarin contains estrogen and progesterone. (made from horse urine)

progesterone WITHOUT estrogen is fairly safe. its the combo that is risky for cancer, especially if you smoke.

i had to be supplemented with progesterone for a few years due to estrogen dominance.

Now if you smoke, that changes everything. Smoking is VERY, VERY bad.

I am shocked.

I didn't know that lifting and such can cause that.

I hope that you get some rest.

Guess the husband won't be getting romantic any time soon.

Maybe a little payback for him not doing the yardwork. [Big Grin]

Seriously though, hope you are feeling better real soon.

It sounds so very painful. Ouch!

Hugs,

Geneal

Yes randi, we can tear our vaginas, lol. you definately need to check out bio identicals. i have been on them for over a year, and so far so good.

i had everything out in march of 08, and since i havent had any problems with dryness or anything.

what i am having a prob with is the mesh they put in me to hold up my bladder, my body is rejecting it, so it's another big surgery.

thank god your bladder has stayed where it's supposed to be, especially after all that heavy lifting, that & babies is what did mine in [Frown]

if you do ever have bladder problems, do not let them put synthetic mesh in you, its horrible what its doing to me.

also you can even get bio identicals in a suppository form, i promise the Bio identicals are way better than synthetic hormones.

the first thing to ddo is find a compounding pharmacy near you & then talk to you Gyn, they will fix you right up.

Take care & hope your better soon!!!
