Hello all, Just wondering for those of you with experience with these drugs: did you have nausea and does it dissipate? I'm trying to do a four month round of this crap, but its making me so sick to stomache...any replies are greatly appreciated.. Sarah

You mean 4 month round of Mepron, or the combo?
Well, yes, the stomach upset ends...eventually. Be sure to eat something with a high fat content (cheese, full-fat yogurt, egg, etc), before you take the Mepron so it will be fully absorbed. This might also help the stomach issues.

Ok, then I understood you correctly. Eat fat before Mepron.

I would get very nauseous on Mepron and Zithromax, the first time, when I did 3 months on it.
Often I would even vomit. For me I think it was herxing, because nausea is a babesia symptom, and it did get better eventually.
I found that eating ice cream before the dose, or right after the dose, helped. It must be something about the ratio of fat to simple carbs. Edy's/Dreyer's brand seems to have less sugar than a lot of the other brands, if you are concerned about sugar intake with Lyme.
Second time I did this combo, it was a lot better, but I think my babesia load was much lower then. Don't rule out that it could just be the meds though....but ice cream helps.
