I am curious about the symptom patterns of lyme. When I first got sick in May 07 my symptoms came on after a week straight headache. Some symptoms stayed awhile, and others came and went pretty fast. I was sick for 5-6 months with on and off symptoms. This go round it started with urinary frequency and a weird numb feeling in toes. Shorty after the same symptoms from before came and it seems in the same order...I've had really bad twitching both times but only in the beginning... That first week or two this time I felt super weak, tired, twitching, dizzy, and horrible brain fog. It was extreme for about a week. It felt like the flu kinda. After about a week I kinda got better.. But new symptoms developed and some went... I have stretches of days where I feel somewhat normal with minimum symptoms and just when I think I'm getting better... it comes back! Does this weird pattern of symptoms sound like lyme? I'm wondering why that first week or two was the worst?... I could barely get out of bed or walk. But I feel better even though I'm still having daily symptoms. It seems a lot of my symptoms come and go... Some I only have once, some reappear, and some are constant. I'm so confused about this and want to know if this is normal to have these weird changing symptoms with days of somewhat normalcy? Makes me question my diagnosis. I was just diagnosed last week with chronic lyme. Thanks. -------------------- IgeneX IGG POS 30+ 31++++ 41++ IGM 30+ 31+++ 34IND 41IND 83-93IND Quest NEG IGG 30 and 41 only

Yes, lyme symptoms come and go and change often. Of course, not for everyone, but the majority of people with lyme disease and co-infections know very well the lyme roller coaster. Some days I am feeling good, other days I feel like I could die. Sometimes it varies between hours or even minutes! One minute I can feel fine and the next minute feel awful and scared because of how sick I feel. --------------------One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar. ~ Helen KellerMy Lyme Story

One of the clearest signs of Lyme is that the symptoms change, sometimes on a daily basis. -------------------- "When there is pain, there are no words." - Toni Morrison
