I've had 4 UTIs in 8 months. I'm 36 and never had UTIs before. Are they caused by BABS and/or Lyme?
My PCP has referred me to a Urologist, but I think the UTIs are related to BABS/Lyme. I'm thinking that the UTIs will resolve when the other infections resolve.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with UTIs and what was your outcome?

Yes. My daughter had that from lyme/babs. The eminent Dr. J told us that lyme can colonize the eurethra and cause infection.

My daughter had and has urine frequency, urgency, occasional burning, seems like UTI and then test always neg. Had one UTI few months after Lyme diagnosis.
She has LYme and Bartonella. Do a search on this board as someone said that D-Mannose( think that's what it was) is very helpful for UTI. Homeopathic remedy.
We have been to two urologists and every test come back normal. Scans, VCUG, Urodynamic.
I am hoping with Lyme and Bart treatment things improve. Good luck and hope you feel better.

You can try drinking cranberry juice everyday OR take D-Mannose capsules with CranActin.
It works!!
You may also want to consider it could be due to a lack of estrogen. Many women have more UTI's as they get closer to menopause, due to the lack of adequate estrogen.

I'm allergic to cranberries. But, I should check my estrogen level because I have other signs of menopause. I really don't want to start that at 36!
