I was wondering if anyone else has every smoked marijuana with lyme disease and had a huge panic attack episode or anxiety?

I also became very sensitive to alcohol. last time I drank was last year...went out and had some shots but got way drunk like never before which freaked me out at first and then I felt hungover for a good amount of time like the alcohol didn't leave my system quickly.

I would seriously appreciate feedback so I can know if this has happened to other people!

Yes. The only marijuana I would recommend smoking if you have lyme is a indica dominant medical strain high in CBD content for pain relief/insomnia. This has heavy narcotic qualities and you will be so sedated you won't have a chance to have an anxiety attack. But these rare and hard to come by unless you have a medical card and live near a club and have access.

Any other strain, or unknown bag weed, can and will make things far worse, for sure.

And yeah I am have become intolerant to alcohol and any strain of pot except the type mentioned above as well.

Can't say I've had experience with pot, but yeah, alcohol sensitivity does go along with Lyme.

So does caffeine sensitivity--I used to be able to drink a few cups of regular coffee right before bed and just go right to sleep, no problems.

Now if I drink regular coffee, I just about end up in ER, with heart and breathing symptoms.

Yes! It is terrifying to say the least. In my case I believe it has something to do with the mitral valve prolapse (which many of us fellow lyme sufferers have), it sends my heartbeat out of rhythm which causes the feeling of anxiety. I had hoped that I would actually benefit from it but I have found that the attacks scare me too much to try it again.

Yes, weed makes me anxious and makes my body ache all over (Counter-productive for sure!)

The alcohol thing is a bummer as well. After three drinks, I'm puking the next day. The hangover is doubled. I don't know why I've had to learn this the hard way like four or five times over the past few years; denial perhaps! Ha!

Take care.
