It seems like every time I turn on the TV now, I'm hearing about Newscasters, Celebrities and the like getting Lyme.

They are all just getting the typical 4-6 week course of abx.

I wonder what will be when all of these folks relapse very soon down the road.

One local story I saw said that possible the reason for the increase in cases was because Dr.'s were becoming more aware of the problem and now not misdiagnosing people.

I wanted to puke, but instead I just chuckled and turned off the set.

Well its been happening since 1975.

The cdc and idsa say 4 weeks of abx is the cure.

I still don't see their motivation to lie, lifetimes of phych meds and/or, pain killlers and anti imflams.. cost more than abx, hmmmm, I don't see a conspiracy, all i see is ignorance and no cure!

the media is finally coming out of the closet and giving us LYME/CO-INFECTON stories after all this time!

the lyme community has become VERY VOCAL, AND WE WILL NOT GO AWAY!! we are no longer quiet, meek, and mild!

we make our phone calls, faxes, emails, snail mails, and sound off anywhere we can!!

we are ONE STRONG FORCE TO RECKON WITH NOW IN 2009 !! [Roll Eyes] [group hug] [kiss]

Perhaps because virulent strain(s) of Bb, traveling with domestic animals (think dogs), are spreading. Ticks have been around for a long time. Doesn't mean they were infected with virulent Bb.

Think about E. coli O157:H7. Tis, it seems, everywhere now. Twas, for all practical purposes, nowhere pre1982.
